Description
A refreshing, 4-ingredient summer drink made by blending fresh strawberries, mint, and lemon juice. It’s bright, fruity, and ready in just 5 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries (200g)
- 10–12 fresh mint leaves
- 3–4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 cup cold water
- 4–5 medium fresh lemons (about 1 cup juice)
- Ice for serving
- Extra mint and lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- Hull the strawberries and chop them in half if large. Rinse the mint leaves.
- Toss the strawberries and mint into a blender.
- Add the sugar and 1 cup of cold water to the blender.
- Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until completely smooth and bright pink. Adjust sweetness or consistency if needed.
- Cut the lemons in half and squeeze them into a bowl to catch seeds. You need about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into a large pitcher.
- Add the fresh lemon juice to the pitcher and stir well.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into the pitcher or a separate bowl, pressing on the pulp to extract all liquid.
- Fill glasses with ice and pour the lemonade over the ice.
- Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lemon slice. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use cold ingredients for the best taste. Do not skip straining for a smoother texture. Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of your strawberries. For a sparkling version, replace half the water with club soda. For an alcoholic version, add 1-2 ounces of vodka or gin per glass.
