Description
A thick, creamy, and high-protein smoothie made with frozen bananas, oats, peanut butter, and protein powder. It provides steady energy, keeps you full for hours, and requires zero cooking.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium frozen bananas, peeled and sliced (about 200g)
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (40g)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (10g)
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups milk of choice (240-360ml)
- 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (32g)
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (30g)
- 1/2 cup ice (optional, about 50g)
Instructions
- Peel bananas, break into chunks, and freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Pour milk into the blender first to help the blades move freely.
- Add frozen banana chunks, rolled oats, chia seeds, peanut butter, and protein powder to the blender.
- Add ice if using.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth and oats are pulverized.
- Taste and adjust consistency by adding more milk if too thick or more ice/banana if too thin.
- Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
Notes
For best texture, use frozen bananas. If using a less powerful blender, soak oats in milk for 5-10 minutes before blending. This smoothie separates if stored, so drink fresh or blend again after storage. For meal prep, create dry ingredient packs to blend with milk in the morning.
