Description
A simple, juicy, and foolproof boneless turkey breast recipe with a sweet and savory maple glaze. Perfect for Thanksgiving or special occasions, this dish requires minimal prep and cleanup while delivering restaurant-quality flavor.
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 pounds boneless turkey breast
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- ½ cup pure maple syrup
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels and season generously with kosher salt and black pepper.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in maple syrup, brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and Dijon mustard. Whisk until smooth and dissolved.
- Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan. Pour half of the glaze over the turkey, coating the top and sides. Tuck fresh thyme sprigs around the turkey if using.
- Roast for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and brush the remaining glaze over the turkey.
- Return to oven and roast for another 20-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) in the thickest part.
- Remove from oven and tent loosely with aluminum foil. Let rest for 15 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
- Slice against the grain and serve with warm glaze.
Notes
Ensure the turkey is fresh rather than frozen for best results. If using frozen, thaw completely in the fridge for 24-48 hours. Do not skip the resting period, as it is crucial for juiciness. Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking; the target internal temperature is 160°F. If the turkey browns too quickly, tent with foil. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
