Description
A simple, creamy, and chocolatey dessert made with just four main ingredients. These no-bake bars require no oven, are ready in under 30 minutes of active time, and are perfect for busy weeknights or last-minute guests.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225g) full-fat brick-style cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy whipping cream
- 1 package (approx. 20 cookies) regular Oreos
- 1 cup (150g) refrigerated edible chocolate chip cookie dough
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for crust)
- 1/2 cup (85g) mini chocolate chips (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal. Lightly grease the pan.
- Crush 15 of the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin in a ziplock bag. You should have about 1 cup of crumbs.
- Mix the Oreo crumbs with melted butter (if using) and press firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust. Place in the fridge.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract and salt.
- Beat in the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overbeat.
- Break the refrigerated cookie dough into small, bite-sized pieces. Gently fold the cookie dough pieces into the cheesecake mixture.
- Roughly crush the remaining 5 Oreos into chunks.
- Spread half of the cheesecake-cookie dough mixture over the crust. Sprinkle half of the crushed Oreos on top. Add the rest of the mixture and top with the remaining crushed Oreos. Press down gently to level.
- Cover the pan and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment sling. Use a sharp knife to cut into squares and serve cold.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Do not overmix the cookie dough to maintain texture. For clean cuts, use a sharp knife and wipe it between slices. These bars are best eaten cold and do not require reheating.
