Description
A simple 3-ingredient homemade vanilla sweet cream cold foam that creates a café-quality iced coffee experience at home in just 5 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cold brew concentrate or strong brewed coffee
- Ice cubes
- Optional: Milk for coffee base
- Optional: Simple syrup or vanilla syrup for sweetness
Instructions
- Chill heavy cream and milk in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (or freezer for 10 minutes) for better whipping results.
- Combine heavy cream, whole milk, and vanilla extract in an airtight jar or shaker bottle.
- Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the mixture doubles in volume and becomes thick and frothy. Alternatively, whisk by hand for 30-45 seconds until soft peaks form.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour cold brew or chilled strong coffee over the ice, filling the glass about 3/4 full.
- Slowly pour the whipped foam over the back of a spoon onto the surface of the coffee to create a distinct layer.
- Serve immediately, stirring if desired, or sipping through the foam.
Notes
Ensure ingredients are cold to help the foam hold its shape. Do not over-whip the cream or it will turn into butter. For a dairy-free version, use full-fat coconut cream. The foam is best served immediately but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours, though it will lose some fluffiness.
